    Reading by starlight...

    Spring has come yet again

    Breeze carrying scented fragrant

    Bright sun looming above

    Flowers basking with delight

    Everything sparkled alight.

In this scenery, I found you askew

    Contrastingly obvious in plain view

Like a black dot on a white canvas

The wronged, the shouldn’t, the amiss

You turned around and walked back

The sullen atmosphere clutching as you go back

I gaze at you from a distance as flowers swayed from your disturbance

I clutched at the window frame

    Knuckles turning white without noticing

Eyes never wandering, I observed at you unblinking

    A servant as I may

Born to pledge loyalty to the royalty

Bounded future, a person sealed with fate to eternity

Yet, at first sight, I have fallen from your presence unknowingly

    A pristine, glorious and sophisticate

    Like an untouchable jade

You captured attentions in your every wake

Your words indisputable, your actions dependable

The stronghold of hope for everyone that made them stable

Everyday, a look of perfection and gracefulness

Wearing the bright smile with cheerfulness

Pretend to act, compelled to do, yet I could clearly see your weariness

Despite the years passed, your still aching

The past deeply embedded, memories still unfaded

Futile, the helpless feeling of dismay

Wanting to comfort, a servant as I may

Inferior to the eyes of many, yet I want to console you greatly

    Arduous work, never complaining

Running to and fro, very obliging

Paying close attention, it’s the only thing I know to keep you company

But with every glance and smile, my heart beats wildly

Feelings bloom like the full spring

Unwanted desires making my head ring

    The heart and the mind

    Turmoil, the two collided unceasingly

Keeping it for nearly 3 years, it left me suffocating

To act or not to act

    To discard loyalty or not

The promise to only serve yielding

To love and be yours sprouting

No matter the case, I wouldn’t cross that taboo

Loyalty upholds in the end as it’s my duty to do to

Shackled with fate, it’s my destiny

To never betray and to always stay

    Unknown feeling and unnoticed attention

As burden and heavy as it may be

I can only mask it for eternity

If it means I can be with you infinitely.
