Part One Introduction

Hello and welcome to the Part One splash page, I guess? I included a bit of the larger map that deals with the events of the first few chapters and as soon as I settle on the finer points of the full one, I’ll post the whole thing somewhere.

I also wanted to take the time to point out that the Hero will not be named Link. It didn’t feel right to me after making a whole new world for her and Zelda to run around in and, at least for me, I will always picture Link’s face when that name is used. And yes, Linkle exists buuut I think we can do better. Hence Liesl. I think the name is similar enough in look and phonetic feel and hopefully, you’ll grow to like it just as much as I do.

Speaking of characters, some of the big ones remain the same (Zelda obviously, Ganon, Impa, etc.) but most of the supporting characters will be completely new, as will the dungeons and the landscape POIs. However, you can expect the same kind of pattern and each major race will have their chosen representative like in other games. I’m just not using Mipha or Ruto for the Zora, as an example.

I released a chapter a week for the last longfic I completed and would love to do that here but the world is a crazy place so I can’t make any promises. As always with my stories, comments and questions are welcome and I’ll do my best to respond to each.
